Not sure if it&#8217;s ready for primetime. A few notes:<\/p>\n<p>It took me an hour and a half to  <a href=\"http:\/\/wiki.openmoko.org\/wiki\/Flashing_openmoko\">flash<\/a> the root file system and kernel on it.  The <a href=\"http:\/\/wiki.openmoko.org\/wiki\/Getting_Started_with_your_Neo1973\">getting started<\/a> page and the <a href=\"http:\/\/wiki.openmoko.org\/wiki\/MacOS_X\">Mac OSX<\/a> page were helpful. I used <a href=\"http:\/\/buildhost.automated.it\/OM2007.2\/uImage-2.6.22.5-moko11+svnr3238-r10-neo1973.bin\">this version of the kernel<\/a>  from <a href=\"http:\/\/buildhost.automated.it\/OM2007.2\/uImage-2.6.22.5-moko11+svnr3238-r10-neo1973.bin\">buildhost.automated.it<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/downloads.openmoko.org\/snapshots\/2007.11\/images\/\">2007.11 snapshot<\/a> of the rootfs.<\/p>\n<p>The operating system takes longer to load than OSX 10.4 on my macbook.<\/p>\n<p>There are a couple things about the UI that bother me:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It&#8217;s not obvious how to answer or hang up a call<\/li>\n<li>There&#8217;s no obvious way to access system settings through the UI, including things as basic as ringtone or volume<\/li>\n<li>It&#8217;s apparently not yet possible to send or get text messages.<\/li>\n<li>There&#8217;s no way to turn it off when the OS hangs, other than removing the battery.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I hope it gets better.
