They &#8220;nurture a new generation of environmental leadership characterized by diversity, innovation, collaboration, and effective communications. ELP addresses the needs of relatively new environmental activists and professionals by:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\tConnecting them with peers through local and national networks;<br \/>\n\t Providing training and other learning opportunities to develop their leadership capacity;<br \/>\n\tLinking them with experienced environmental leaders through substantive interactions and mentoring opportunities;<br \/>\n\tOffering activity grants and technical support to help them implement innovative projects; and<br \/>\n\tFocusing attention on the need for the environmental community to nurture the next generation of leaders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8220;The centerpiece of ELP&#8217;s work is the ELP Fellowship Program, which annually selects approximately twenty individuals with demonstrated talent and potential to participate in a two-year leadership development fellowship.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to Neil Chambers for the link.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Environmental Leadership Program is an organization dedicated to the development of new leadership talent in environmental research and development.
